As a people loved by God, we are called to serve.
All are welcomed to join in worship and fellowship at either New Hope or Hayti Lutheran Churches, where our histories run as deep as the roots of the prairie grass our values were built upon.
Pastor Randy Eisenbiez serves both congregations and has served for over 25 years.
Both churches have served our rural communities for over 100 years, having traditional Lutheran services every Sunday, and offering Sunday school to children from September - May.
Please join us for worship and fellowship!

Hayti Lutheran has started coffee and fellowship following worship service again. If you would like to provide goodies and serve, there is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. There will always be coffee even if there are no goodies - so plan to stay and visit a while!
New Hope is planning an additional trip to worship at St Dysmas, the prison worship. If you are interested in joining, please go online to St Dysmas of South Dakota (click HERE for a link) or contact Susan Everson to get the necessary paperwork completed (this paperwork is good for 1 year if you chose to go again). Worship is always on a Thursday evening, and the group must be to the prison by 6:00 pm.
Anyone interested in providing a meal for the Opdahl family please click HERE for a link to an online schedule, where you can sign up for a day/time. Contact Kristi Stevenson for more information - call or text 605-881-6136.

From the Joint Council:
Dear members of New Hope & Hayti Lutheran Churches,
We will be holding indoor church services starting on May 10, 2020. Hayti Lutheran at 9:00 am; New Hope Lutheran at 10:30 am. Following is what we will be doing to keep people safe:
An entrance door will be left open so no one has to touch door handles/knobs etc.
Bulletins will be placed in the pews on Friday morning. We will wash hands to keep the bulletins free of germs.
Stay together in family units at least six feet apart. (overflows will be opened to help spread us out in the sanctuary)
There will be no sharing of the peace, no hand shaking, I will not greet people at the back of church before or after services.
I will stay in the altar area of the church during the duration of the service.
There will be no ushers; because of that we will have:
A table placed at the back of the church with the offering plates where offering can be placed either before or after services.
The table at the back of the church will have hand sanitizer to help keep germs at bay.
Masks are recommended but not required.
PLEASE: If you feel sick, STAY HOME; if you are uncomfortable with worshipping at this time, STAY HOME; if you are at risk, STAY HOME!
We will still be recording the service and making it available online.
New Hope Church History Books - Still Available
The New Hope history books are still available. History books can be purchased for $30/each from Gail Roe. Several New Hope ladies spent many hours compiling this extensive history book - if something happened in New Hope's history - it's sure to be in this book! It also includes information from previous history books. Great gifts for holidays, birthdays, Mother's/Father's Day or just because. Also fun to peruse in search of old pictures of grandparents, your young parents, childhood friends, or childhood photos of yourself - not to mention all the fun and interesting tid-bits of church, local and national history.
